Helicopter Access Whitewater Rafting

The day begins at Amalgamated Helicopters NZ, located just out of Carterton. Here you will meet the rafting crew, be fitted with gear and then be flown over the Waiohine River into the Totara Flats (10 min flight time). As we descend 15km of Grade 2 + rapids, we will stop at various spots to take in the beautiful scenery, do some rock jumping, take some epic photos, and stop for a fully catered lunch.


At the end of our adventure, our shuttle will meet us by the river and drive us back to Amalgamated Helicopters, where your vehicles will be waiting for you.

We do offer a pick-up/drop-off service to and from the Wellington region if required. Please note this will have an additional cost.
